Thanks to new media and shifting social norms, we seem more sexually liberated than ever—intimacy appears easy to find and consume. But this discounting of physical and emotional closeness also reveals which bodies are considered desirable in the sexual marketplace, and how discrimination can result in devaluation on the most intimate level.

berührungsdiscounter presents five contemporary artistic positions on sexuality, embodiment, and interpersonal connection. The exhibition offers space to reflect on how desire, exclusion, and commodification intersect in both digital and physical realms.
