DUALIS

Shedding skin, revealing worlds.

Look at anything long enough, and it begins to fold in on itself.

A face. A wound. A memory. Turned inward, mirrored against its own reflection, it stops being one thing and becomes two — then many. This is where DUALIS begins: not with an answer, but with a blot. A stain read differently by every eye that meets it.

Rorschach understood that what we see in the mirrored image says less about the image than about the one looking. These paintings borrow that logic and let it loose — pigment folded, doubled, and set free to become something neither hand nor eye planned in advance. Figures emerge from the fold. Landscapes hide inside faces. What looks like symmetry is really a kind of honesty: two halves refusing to resolve into one truth.

Duality, here, is not conflict. It is coexistence — light holding shadow, the human holding the animal, the rooted holding the hybrid, the feminine holding what she was told to hide. Nothing in this room asks to be reconciled. It only asks to be witnessed, whole and unresolved, the way a person is.

To shed a skin is not to disappear. It is to reveal what was forming underneath the whole time.
