PLAY / BRAIN
Culterim | Spaces | Ostbahnhof
PLAY/BRAIN is a temporary art environment about the mind at play.
Inside the pop-up, the brain is not presented as a diagram to be understood, but as a restless maker of images, patterns and stories. It fills gaps, completes shapes, recognises faces, follows traces, invents connections — quietly turning fragments into worlds.
The exhibition brings together sculptural objects, responsive digital works, drawing experiments and spatial interventions. Visitors are invited to move through a playful landscape where perception becomes unstable and imagination becomes visible.
Created with children in mind, PLAY/BRAIN is a way for everyone to return to a more open way of looking: attentive, associative, physical and curious. Here, play is a way of thinking with the body, the eyes and the environment.
PLAY/BRAIN is a living prototype for a future immersive exhibition about perception, origins of creativity and the strange intelligence of the mind.
The pop-up is created by Pillowpile, a Berlin-based animation and visual storytelling studio, and supported by Pike, an emerging interdisciplinary cultural initiative.
