Opening on Thursday, May 11th, 7pm the Culterim Gallery in Berlin will present a solo exhibition entitled SERENIDAD by Spanish light artist Alejandra Valcárcel. @alejandravalcarcel.studio

SERENIDAD will showcase a diverse range of ceramics and mixed media sculptures that draw upon the concept of a floating state. One particularly intriguing piece is a ceramics and light hanging installation that invites viewers to play and interact, resulting in evolving projections.

Alejandra's work explores how sensory play and immersion can lead viewers to a meditative, serene state. Her installations and sculptures transmit a sense of peace, calmness, and fun that is captured through a natural, sensitive, and almost vulnerable approach. By providing a dimension between transcending and the connection she feels with loved ones who are not physically present, the exhibition presents her "living" mixed media and light sculptures and installations.

Alejandra provides stimulation to all the senses through her art, working with interactive materials, hypnotic sculptures, musicians (particularly playing the marimba), masseuses, and more. This provides a subliminal dive into inner peace and immersion into a state of serenity.
