Ω. Unit of electrical resistance. Resistance that exists between two points of an electrical conductor, against the status quo, against established methods.

The multimedia exhibition by the New Media class at Berlin University of the Arts brings together positions by current and former students who question whether technological development should always be driven forward, and at what cost.

How do political, electrical, and mythical energies correspond, and how strong is the belief in them? How are they structured, and how do they shape human interaction? Can power be stabilized, accumulated, or optimized? What does it mean to lose balance, to fall, or to be still? What kind of balance emerges through motion?

In recent decades, technological development has produced strong dependencies on systems that structure how we communicate, move, and relate within digital space. These systems concentrate energy, decision-making, and power, shaping public discourse while limiting who can participate in it. The exhibition is a collection of perspectives that addresses these questions—not by offering a single answer, but by holding tensions, interruptions, and counter-currents open for reflection.

Ω. Definition of the end, the opposite of the beginning.
The be-all, end-all.

The New Media class at Berlin University of the Arts engages in various research, development, and collaborative activities with regards to emerging trends in the fields of art and design with digital thinking at the core.
