Die installative Ausstellung Norden setzt sich mit der Beziehung zwischen Raum, Licht und emotionaler Erfahrung auseinander. Ausgangspunkt ist eine fotografische Serie von Trung Duc Tran, die nach dem Verlust eines engen Freundes und künstlerischen Mentors im winterlichen Nordjütland entstand.
Die Weite, Stille und Reduktion der Landschaft werden dabei zum Spiegel eines inneren Gefühlsraums und machen Trauer, Erinnerung und den Prozess des Loslassens erfahrbar.
Zentral für die Ausstellung ist die Verbindung von Licht und Fotografie in Form einer Installation. Sie verfolgt ein Lichtkonzept, welches die gewohnte Wahrnehmung und Farbrezeption der Besucher:innen bewusst auf die Probe stellt. Natriumdampflampen lenken die Farben des Raums gezielt auf die Fotografien, während die restliche Umgebung zur monochromen Szene wird. Intention der Ausstellung ist es, eine Atmosphäre zwischen Wahrnehmung und Erinnerung, äußerem Raum und innerem Erleben zu kreieren.
Die Besucher:innen sind dazu eingeladen auf diese Weise, Raum, Werk und einander zu begegnen.

The installation-based exhibition *Norden* explores the relationship between space, light and emotional experience. Its starting point is a photographic series by Trung Duc Tran, created in wintry North Jutland following the loss of a close friend and artistic mentor.
The vastness, silence and minimalism of the landscape serve as a mirror for an inner emotional space, making grief, memory and the process of letting go tangible.
Central to the exhibition is the interplay of light and photography in the form of an installation. It employs a lighting concept that deliberately challenges visitors’ habitual perceptions and colour perception. Sodium vapour lamps direct the colours of the space specifically onto the photographs, whilst the rest of the surroundings become a monochrome scene. The exhibition aims to create an atmosphere that bridges the gap between perception and memory, external space and inner experience. Visitors are invited to engage with the space, the artworks and one another.
