Funded Residency | Bad Gastein | Mai 2026
sommer.frische.kunst X Culterim | Residencies #2
Culterim | Residencies is launching a new, subsidized artist-in-residence program. Participating artists will be provided with free accommodation and workspaces for the duration of their stay. The focus is on independent artistic work and exchange. The program fosters networking and a creative environment that enables focused work and artistic processes.
The artist-in-residence program returns to Bad Gastein in 2026. Built in 1887, Haus Bergfriede is one of the oldest buildings in the area and has been a place of hospitality for decades. From May 11th to 31st, 2026, Haus Bergfriede will serve as the artists' residence and workspace, while the power plant in Bad Gastein will be their studio. A studio talk with the Gegen & Lücke Gallery is also part of the program.
With the aim of artistic exchange and networking, sommer.frische.kunst offers the optional opportunity to present the works created during the residency in an exhibition. The works are curated by sommer.frische.kunst and Culterim | Residencies.
Special thanks go to Haus Bergfriede, the Bad Gastein Tourism Association and sommer.frische.kunst.
